The ingredients needed to make Rava paniyaram:
- Prepare 1 . Rava / Semolina - 1/2 cup
- Prepare 2 . Rice flour - 1/2 cup
- Get 3 . Sour yogurt - 2 tbspn
- Use 4 . Baking soda - 1/4 tspn
- Take 5 . Greenchilli - 1 chopped
- You need 6 . Onion - 1 medium chopped (optional)
- You need 7 . Coriander leaves - 2 tbspn chopped
- You need 8 . Salt
- Prepare 9 . Water (almost 1/4 cup)
- Prepare 10 . Oil for drizzling - 1 to 2 tbspn
Steps to make Rava paniyaram:
- Mix together semolina, rice flour, baking soda and sour yogurt.
- Add water littile by littile to make a thick batter. Set aside to rest for 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, add Greenchilli, onion, salt and coriander leaves. Mix well. Keep aside.
- Heat a paniyaram tawa, drizzle 1/4 tspn oil into each cavity and spread with a brush.
- Pour batter into the cavities, filling 3/4 each cavity.
- Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
- Remove lid and when the underside turns golden, turn to the other side with a wooden skewer.
- Cover and cook golden and crisp on both sides. - Serve hot with coconut chutney.
