- Use 1 medium sized cup Milk powder
- Use 1 can Condensed milk/milkmaid
- Use 1/2 cup clarified butter/ghee
- Use 1 drop orange food colour
- Provide 1 drop green food colour
- Get 1/2 teaspoon Powdered orange zest
Instructions to make Sugar free orange mithai:
- Take a saucepan in the stove, in medium heat, put ghee and condensed milk in it & stir continuously.
- Now put milk powder, powdered orange zest in it & stir continuously in order to avoid the mixture to get over cooked. Turn off the gas when the mixture thickens & starts to get separate from the pan.
- Cool the mixture a bit & divide it into 3 equal portions. Put 1 drop of orange food colour in a portion, 1 drop of green food colour in another one & keep the other portion as it is. Apply some ghee in the palms & while the mixture is still warm, make small balls with the white portion as shown in the picture below.
- Now take small amount of the orange portion make it flat using palms & wrap the small white balls with the orange portion as shown in the picture & cover the openings properly with the orange portion. Take the green portion & using knife make the leaves & stick them above the orange. (It does not require any extra stuff to stick)
